Hello

Hi everyone!

My name is Tiffany and I have been training in Knoxville, Tennessee since August of 2009. I am so glad that I found this group. I look forward to interacting with you in this forum and perhaps in person at some point.

Take care!

Hi All!

I'm sorry it took so long to find this group, but I'm glad I did.

REALLY glad to see the ladies from Dublin in here! I'm planning to be in Dublin (on my way to and from Munich) in October, so please get in touch. I'd love to stop by the dojo and, body willing, train with you a bit. Out of shape, but finding this gives me a new burst of energy to hit the gym over the next month.

I'm also an Irish citizen, by Ex-spouse, so I'm totally supportive of *every* Irish woman who trains. :o))

As I said, it has been a while....I started with the Bujinkan in 1985 and received my Godan in 1993. I lived in Japan 1991-1993 and trained pretty hard. Always planned to move back and now 15 years have gone by...but the toddler that some of you might remember is now in college, so a few more years yet and I'll be ready to do something dramatic.

Let's see... I've moved around a bit since 1993 and now I'm in San Francisco area.

I'm still a lawyer, but not taking clients,--too much fun to be had otherwise. I still keep up with my Japanese, more or less. My work is at the crossroads of law and software development and I'm happy as a lark.

Which means it's time to rejoin the tribe. A grumpy Gina wouldn't have been much fun.

Anyway, it's good to be able to connect with you and I'll try to touch base more often. My normal playgrounds are LinkedIn and Twitter (MullenAR)

Hello,My name is Debbie

Hello,
My name is Debbie Baxter Robison. I am a Shidoshi-ho through Bud Malmstrom. I have been studying in the Bujinkan system since 1988. I have been training/teaching on and off now, but I used to have a dojo in Columbus Georgia for 8 years. (Bujinkan Columbus Dojo) I closed it in 1997. I am so happy to see the women in the Bujinkan coming forth and bonding together. It is important to get the word out what is available for women that want to train. I remember well being the only woman in my group. Now look at us!! Women from all over the world! How exciting! Thank goodness that we are all pulling together to extend a helping hand to each other and women around the world as well as in our own communities.

My hat is off to Sheila, and the other instructors for all she has done and is doing for the women in the Bujinkan. If there is anything I can do from this end please let me know. I would be more than happy to assist.

I hope to see/meet you all in 2010!!!!!

Best Regards!

Hi - I have trained in bujinkan for around 18 years after studying many other arts such as hapkido, kung fu, jujutsu and karate. I started Courageous Heart cojo in Sydney Australia with Gillian in May 2000 - so 2010 will be a big year for us in other ways as well with our 10 year anniversary as well as the TaiKai. Time flies when you are throwing stars, sticks and bodies around! Looking forward to working and training with everyone next year.

Hello People!

A kunoichi Taikai would be really interesting :D

I'm from Australia and it would be great to meet kunoichi from around the world.

I try to incorporate the more traditional training by learning japanese calligraphy, flute playing, art and traditional cooking in my spare time.
I also do sewing and I've started to make training hakama.
Perhaps I can come up with some gi that are more suited to the feminine body?

Anywho, I really want to go!
Take care
Mel

Introduction

Hello everyone!
My name is Anya Pusch and I live in Einbeck, Germany. (That`s a small town located about 80 km south of Hannover - lucky me!) I`ve been training in the Bujinkan since 2001, and the more I learn, the more I find out that I still have (and want) to learn!
I`m very much looking forward meeting all the other kunoichis from all over the world next year. I`ll see you then!

Hello!

I am Francine Tremblay and I live in Québec Canada. I have begin my training in April 1987 and I am now 11th dan. I have a lot of fun training since all those 22 years. My husband, Bernard Grégoire, and I have a dojo where there is some womens, actually we are 8 including me. They are very well integrated at the group, no difference with men. Bernard and I are going to Japan every year to train with Hatsumi sensei and all the shihans. I am always happy to meet others womens in the Bujinkan.

The idea of that Kunoichi group is a very good idea. I am sure that we have something to share as womens. I send to all of you a big kiss and hope to see you soon.

Excuse my English. I speak French and I have hard time with English.

Francine

I have been the only woman training in our group for a long time, a few have come and gone but I find it interesting how many don't stay. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Greetings

My name is Chris, my husband and I are from Dayton, OH and now live here in Germany. A friend of mine from the Dayton Bujinkan Dojo, sent me the info on the Kunoichi Tai Kai. At first, I thought this event would be well over my simple skillset. However, after speaking with Sheila Haddad (we are incredibly fortunate to live close enough to be able to train with her, and started a couple of weeks ago) and reading this website - I am so excited for this. What an opportunity - bringing so many exceptionally talented woman together to support, strengthen and spread a very vast knowledge and talent base. I look forward to an exciting and intense weekend of learning, sharing and friendship-making. Made even better if my DBD and MTBD friends can make it :)

Whatever you need help with in getting this organized, sign me up. I would love to be involved further.

Hi Everybody...

My name is Sherrie S. and I train in Victoria, BC, Canada.

Hi!

Hi

I'm Dave, from Newbury, Berkshire in the UK. This is a great idea and I completely support this venture. It will be great to see some ideas and thoughts on how to get more women into the Bujinkan, as I feel its greatly needed.

Well done on getting this started, and heres looking forward to the begining of something great!

A bit about me

Hi fellow practitioners!

My name is Anne and I'm living in Linköping. I'm the head of our small, but open hearted and ambitious, dojo www.kampsportscentret.com/default.aspx?style=2. I've been training for about 7,5 years now and the more i learn the more I feel I found a good way of developing and the love to the art grows stronger.
Even though I'm the head of the dojo, there is no more women training than me, wich I find very strange and it makes me wonder a lot if there is something I do when i teach that scares women off. This is one thing among many others I'm hoping to learn from you, my fellow budo women!

I'm very glad for this taikai to take place. I've been attending to all seminars that Sheila has held in Stockholm Sweden and every time I'v taken something home with me that never would have developed in an usual mixed seminar. That's why I think all women and, in the longer perspective, men will benefit from us coming together for exchange of experience!

Hope to se you in Hannover, 2010!!

Hello!

Hello fellow Kunoichi!

My name is Becky Thomas and I began training in 2007 with my husband Steve. We train in San Francisco California with both Dale Seago and Trevor Calvert, as well as attending regular seminars with the other Shidoshi in California.

All of my teachers and fellow students are very excited about and supportive of our training event! They're looking forward to all that I (and the other women from our area) bring back.

I am really looking forward to meeting you all!

See you in 2010!

Hello from barcelona

Hi:

My name's Yolanda. I started Bujinkan one year ago; I study it in Bujinkan Alar Dojo, Barcelona.

I am very excited about all this new project. I am kind of tired about man having - or society being sure that they have - all the power when it comes to fighting so I like thinking that we are going to colaborate in chanching that.

I am sure it will be a pleasure to meet you all.

Kind regards :)

Welcome

I would like to welcome you all to the Bujinkan Kunoichi site. It is designed to give you all information on the kunoichi happenings, specifically the TaiKai in 2010.
My name is Sheila Haddad and myself along with Katrin Jansen are the organizers. We are definitely open for support and assistance with this project. Although the Taikai is for women, taught by women, the end result is to benefit all of Bujinkan. So any support, donations, assistance from our male counterparts is greatly welcome. I like to think of this project as a group bujinkan effort, in support of the women, as requested by Soke.
Welcome again, and please introduce yourselves, ask questions, and share. This forum is designed to inspire, motivate and and be supportive.
Thank you.

Greetings from Argentina

Hello, my name is Clara, I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I've been training for almost 2 years. In my country there are no female Shihans, and I've always thought that it would be great to be able to train with a female instructor or even someday- if I work really hard-become one myself!

Amazing project, brilliant idea, GREAT spirit! Attending the Kai might be quite difficlt for us folks in "3rd world coutries" due to the exchange rates, but I'll sure make an effort!

Regards,

Clara Delrio.
